Development of a Device for Daylighting(Ⅰ) — (Ⅲ), Researcher 89.1-91.12        KIER Report funded by Ministry of Trade and Industry. Developing a mechanical device using natural daylight to illuminate the areas inside a building where sunlight admitted through various openings fails to provide adequate illumination.

Development of New Technology for Building Energy Vector Analysis (Ⅰ) — (Ⅲ), Researcher 89.6-92.5 KIER Report funded by Ministry of Science and Technology. Developing a new technology in evaluating the energy performance of buildings, which accounts for the complexities of actual buildings.

Thermal Performance Analysis of Movable Shading System of Building, Researcher89.1-89.11 KIER Report funded by Ministry of Trade and Industry. Analyzing comparatively the thermal performances of 2 kinds of horizontal movalbe shading devices (venetian blinds) which are located outside  and inside of glazing as one of the passive cooling strategies to conserve the cooling energy of building. The shading coefficients(SC) were measured and anlazed base on the results of theoretical and experimental phase.

Determining and applying the optimal heating mdthod for Korean apartment building and developing the practical guidelines for the improvement of efficiency of heating system.

A Study on the Efficiency of Passive Solar Schoolrooms, Researcher   91.1-91.11 KIER Report funded by Ministry of Trade and Industry. Field survey and measurement for passive solar school buildings

Optimization of Continuous Heating System Facilities for Large Apartment Building Site. Researcher           91.1-91.12 KIER Report funded by Ministry of Trade and Industry. Developint the most feasible heating method for large apartment buidling site coupled with district heating system which can immediately supply energy at anytime without pre-heating load if need be. Practical guidelines to improve the efficiency of radiant floor heating systems in the continuous heating mode are being developed.

A Study on the Improvement of Apartment Heating Installations Coupled with District Heating System. Researcher 92.1-92.12 KIER Report funded by Ministry of Trade and Industry. The present study has been carried out to obtain essential data and new measures of improvement in establishing design guidelines for the installations of the 2nd side(i.e. the building side) of istricting heating. Apartment buildings in new cities around Seoul, where the district heating concept is racticed in conjunction with the continuous heating mode, have been analyzed in this regard.

A Study on the Environmental Performance of Passvie Solar Schoolrooms (I)-(III). Researcher 92.1-94.12 KIER Report funded by Ministry of Trade and Industry. Comparative analysis on two distinct design considerations for elementary school buildings. Various computer simulations were conducted and suggestions as to the design parameters and operational strategies are set forth to improve existing conditions.

Construcing the Cheju New and Renewable Energy Demonstration site for public demonstration and education of the clean and clear new and renewable energy technologies as a solutin of environmental pollution and energy crisis in the future.

Integrated energy performance  simulation of a super low energy building (SLEB) with energy efficient strategic (EES) system component such as double-skin and earth-to-air heat exchanger system has been analyzed for a preliminary designed building and equipment system.
